What is a skits video?
A mini story acted out: a relatable situation, usually with a twist or a punchline. The product is part of the scene, often as the fix.
Also called: comedy skit, POV skit, sketch.
Why it works
Humor and stories get shared, and people watch to the end for the punchline. A good skit doesn't feel like an ad at all, so it travels far organically.
Best for
Relatable everyday problems, brand personality, products with a clear before/after.
How to make a skits video
- Start mid-scene: no setup, the situation is already happening.
- Keep it to one joke or twist, under 30 seconds.
- Make the product the turn or the punchline, not a commercial break.
- Use simple labels (text on screen) if one creator plays several people.
Hooks to try
Fill in the blanks for your product:
- “POV: you ___ at 3am”
- “Me explaining ___ to my ___”
- “When ___ but you have ___”
- “Nobody: … Me: ___”
Do's and don'ts
✓Make it about a real, specific moment
✓Cut tight: every second earns its place
✓Let the creator's humor lead
✕Over-script the jokes
✕Stop the scene to pitch the product
✕Make it longer than the joke
